Lavender House Management attempted to intimidate me by threatening legal action.
I’m writing this to warn others not to waste your time with them. If you fit into THEIR NEEDS you may be ok, but if you ask them (not request or expect, just ask) if they could meet your or your person you care for needs, they won’t be clear with an answer. The wife will say yes whilst the husband will say no. Then as you work with the wife, the husband will come in and override her decisions. As you persevere in the confusion to gain clarity, you’ll be blamed for asking too much and any agreements will never arrive, the policies and procedures you ask for won’t come and you’ll be blamed for asking for clarity and be blamed for things you haven’t even done or said.
The husband said the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission who I had been talking with had advised him to threaten legal action if I sent more emails to them. When I emailed the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission to question this, they had not said this. This service has lied through their teeth about so many things to me. I now have the proof in the short thread of emails – happy to show anyone.
Their solution was to attempt to control my communication rather than just answering my queries. And when I offered to pay them for their extra time in answering them (something I did to go above and beyond in attempts to rectify the problem as they had it in their heads, when I didn’t have to) I get threatened with legal action. So bizarre and out of proportion to me just asking questions. All my communications were respectful and kind, they didn’t even state they were anything but. All I can imagine is that being a year old service, they haven’t put everything in place yet, are having problems agreeing on things as a couple and are extrememly stressed themselves – or just plain nasty.
I would recommend people to stay away from them.
Such a shame as some great support staff work there, except one bad egg, (name of staff member)…please contact me for more of my experience with this place and (staff member).
