I am writing about Australian Unity. My NDIS Support Co-ordinator has been chasing them for over a month to give a quote. When we eventually received this quote it was for half the time allocated. We go back to them and the request for the amended quote hits their shreader (personal opinion). Longer story short we get things moving. This where things get more interesting.
I get a telephone call so they can do a safety audit which will take a minimum of 1½ hours. I have a seven room dwelling and when I say this I’m told it will be probably another hour longer. No one can inform me what they do on this safety audit. The lady taking my details the demands to know my full list of disabilities. I don’t want to answer. They won’t come for the safety audit if I don’t disclose to this stranger. Then they want to know my range of movement because “we only clean what you can’t physically do for yourself”.
IMHO Australian Unity shouldn’t be an NDIS provider.
Here is the knock out punch! I said this plan was meant to start in March so hours may have to be adjusted. “No we keep that money!” I respond “What!?! What do you mean you keep the money?” “Well, we tell the NDIS we have the contract and they send us the money and the time before we started we just keep” said like I was a child.
Guess who isn’t even coming for the safety audit.
