Abacus Learning Centre provides ABA programs which are individually designed to suit the needs of the child and their family.
ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) is a behavioural therapy with scientific evidence for promoting significant positive changes in children and adults with Autism.
Delivered on a 1:1 staff-to-student ratio, the programs are individualised and based on each student’s developmental level, covering areas such as
communication (both verbal and non-verbal)
social and academic skills
independent and cooperative play
behaviourial and tolerance issues
generalisation of skills
Abacus is flexible in the provision of programs that ensure students have fun while they learn, and are positive for both the student and family.
The therapy team is committed to valuing each child’s gains and ensuring that every program is tailored - and continually adjusted - to suit the child and family's changing needs, as well as ensuring skills are transferred to other environments.
All team members are trained on-site in this teaching technique and are supervised by the Clinical Director and Program Supervisors, and overseen daily by Case Managers.
Abacus has been delivering autism services and positive outcomes for children with autism and their families for almost ten years. Both centre-based and in-school ABA programs are available, as well as a variety of other service delivery options and the Good Friends social skills program.
